About Go4Go.net:  Go4Go.net is a comprehensive web site promoting the ancient Oriental [Chinese] game of Go (or Weiqi, or Baduk) in North America. At the time the site was established, Chinese was selected as the primary language of the site because the targeted visitors are Chinese-speaking students and scholars living in the USA. However, as the popularity of the site grew there were many requests from English-speaking friends for an English version. Making an English version is not as simple as translating the text, and the translation itself can be quite difficult. What we decided to do first is to make the Game Collection section available in English, and then gradually add in new content.

About our collection:  The game collection here contains more than 3,700 records (as of November, 2003) and is continuously growing. These are professional games covering all major Chinese, Japanese, Korean and international tournaments. The collection contains plenty of games that are not part of any other English collections. The quality of the game records is excellent because all games have been manually verified by the maintainer to remove any possible errors. The games are also well organized and we provide comprehensive search functions for our visitors. We aim to have the best Go game collection on the Internet in the near future.

Term and policy:  The game collection is compiled and maintained by Ning (Mace) Li and is his copyright. Users are free to view the games online, keep downloadable or printable copies of individual games for their personal use. However, reproducing the collection in whole, making it parts of any commercial products, merging it into other Go databases, or mirroring this site are prohibited, unless written permission is granted by the owner.
