What we offer

We will offer about 500 commented games a year, including 5 commented professional games covering major Go events every week, 5 commented top-level amateur games played on KGS every week, and occasional special topics about European and American Go tournaments.

The games are commented in great detail. Many games contain more than 10 (sometimes more than 20) variation diagrams. With all major aspects of Go playing (such as opening theory, joseki, midgame fighting strategies) being covered, this is really a very comprehensive Go tutorial.

Different ways to study:

  1.  Download the commented games in SGF format to your local computer to view. An SGF reader that supports variations is needed.
  2.  Replay the games online using our applet. Only the main branch of the games can be reviewed (no variation). A web browser with Java support is needed.
  3.  Have us deliver the games to your e-mail box every week. This is the option for those who do not constantly have internet access.

For Go players seriously seeking for technical improvements, Alexandre Dinerchtein also offers to comment your own games for an affordable price. >> Read details

Pricing

This is a subscription-based service. As of March 2003, visitors need to pay US $50 a year to have access to the service. That works out as less than 10 cents per commented game -- quite reasonable. There is also a 6-month subscription plan available. >> Subscription Page

Sample commented games

We provide quite a few free sample games online for you to evaluate this service and familiarize yourself with the user interface. >> Sample games
