Korean GS Caltex Cup |
Korean GS Caltex Cup is new name of the former Korean LG Cup (also called Refining-oil Cup). The name change was made from the 10th term in 2005. As of 2005-11-08, Lee Changho is leading Choi Cheolhan in the final.
Tournament Format:
As of term 10, the main stage has 16 players competing in 4 rounds of single-elimination knock-out tournament, with best-of-5 final round.
As of term 11, a 8-player league is introduced. The winner of the league will challenge last year's winner. Preliminary tournament opens to all professional players.
Prize Money:
As of term 11, the total budget is 280 million Won; the winner prize is 50 million Won; the runner-up prize is 12 million Won.
Time Limits:
Used to be 4-hour for each side. As of term 11, changed to standard 3-hour tournament, plus byoyomi.
Komi:
Currently 6.5.|
