China-Japan Agon Cup
This is a bilateral competition between the Japanese and the Chinese Agon Cup winners. It was first held in 2000, shortly after the completion of the 1st Chinese Agon Cup. Japanese Agon Cup has a longer history.

- Gu Li, Cho U and Iyama Yuta are the most frequent participants, each played 4 times.
- China had a winning streak of 12 years which was only broken recently.
- Games are held in either December or January. The year column in the historical results table below is adjusted to reflect the year in which the main Japanese and Chinese Agon events are held. The 2003 one was held significantly later due to the SARS pandemic.
